Peer-Review
The type of manuscript review accepted in the journal is double-blind, meaning neither the author nor the reviewer knows each other. For this, the reviewer is sent an electronic manuscript file without the author's information, and the author (if necessary) is sent a review file without the reviewer's information.
The "Mechanics and Technologies" journal accepts only manuscripts recommended and approved by reviewers and Editorial Board members based on the review results. Manuscripts are reviewed in two stages. In the first stage, the editorial staff sends the manuscript submitted by the author for review by one or two independent scientists whose research fields correspond to the subject and content of the manuscript.
The reviewer prepares a review according to the form provided by the editors. The review reflects the relevance, value, and significance of the research results, as well as comments (if any) and recommendations for publication (or rejection) of the manuscript. The review is typed on a computer with the text volume on 1-2 sheets. The review period for a manuscript should not exceed 14 days. The completed review is sent to the editorial staff via the journal's website.
After passing the review, the recommended manuscript (that has received positive feedback) is sent to the next evaluation stage. If any shortcomings are found, the manuscript is returned to the author for correction. In the case of negative feedback from the reviewer, the manuscript is rejected. The author is informed of this decision in writing signed by the Editor-in-Chief.
The manuscript that has passed the review is reviewed at the second stage by one of the members of the editorial board to check its compliance with the journal's requirements and to obtain consent (or non-consent) for publication. If the opinion of the Editorial Board member is negative, the manuscript is returned to the author for revision or rejected. The duration of the manuscript review by a member of the Editorial Board is no more than 7 days.
A manuscript that has passed the full review cycle and is approved for publication is accepted for inclusion in the journal.
Experts who are not members of the journal's Editorial Board and have degrees of Doctor of Science, Candidate of Science, or PhD are involved as reviewers. These include domestic and foreign scientists who have articles in the Scopus or Web of Science databases (Russia h-3, Malaysia h-7, Hungary h-7, Uzbekistan h-3, etc.).
